I did a bunch of research, and in this size category it came down to either the LG, or the Sharp as the best choices for TV's currently in production with these specifications (including the built in DVD player). Looking at multiple sites for reviews the Sharp just had better overall reviews, plus the LG has a dark red bar across the bottom of the TV which I personnally thought looked a little tacky. I attached the TV to an articulated wall mount, and it fits nicely on the VESA 200X200 adapter plate that came with the wall mount. The articulated wall mount allows me to move the TV around for use in the whole room. One of the features that this TV has that I decided to use is a computer input so that the TV can also be used as a moniter. It works great in this capacity. The only thing on this TV that I would improve is that when you change the channel there is aproximately a 2 second delay before the channel comes up. In my opinion with this being the worst thing I can say about the TV, this is a great product, I would definately purchase this set again.
I love my Aquos T.V.

The picture is gorgeous. It's very bright, so I don't have to pull down my shades to watch T.V. in the daytime. When an HDTV signal comes through it looks almost 3D. The remote is easy to use and the DVD player works like a charm.

I actually feel guilty that I got such a great deal...O.K. only a little guilty.
excellent purchase

When i bought this thought i was crazy because it was an online purchase, there were no reviews, it was a lot of money involved and it was my first time ever doing such a thing. My husband also thought i was nuts but he trusted me to do it anyway and we have no regrets. This is the main tv in the house. It is in use everyday. The dvd works perfect, my 2yr watches his videos constantly. I would definitely recommend . I hope this review helps someone

When I was younger Sharp was known as a "discount" brand, so I was a little reluctant to buy this. But wow - I got a surprise, sharp picture and good sound. Maintain colors and light from almost all viewing angles.

Unbeatable.
Great

We bought this TV for an exercise room and love it. The picture is great and having the DVD player built in is very convenient. We hung it on the wall so we could watch it while using our exercise bike.

The sound quality isn't awesome but it's certainly adequate. Since the TV also plays CDs and MP3's, a bit more bass would have been nice, but no big deal.

Ordering from Amazon was far easier, less expensive, and very convenient since they delivered it right to our front door.

Great TV/DVD combo with one exception: Remote is very hard to read for some Seniors. Bought this for my mom & dad, only to find out that remote is too small for my father to be able to distinguish the various buttons/numbers with ease.
.
I bought a universal remote with larger buttons/numbers and this solved the problem.
.
Other than that, great TV.
.
Buying from Amazon.com was a breeze with delivery earlier than expected, AT CHRISTMAS!
Couldn't be much happier

Reviewer: Terry C. Norris,
Picture: The TV picture could be clearer/sharper, but that may be a question of signal quality. Difficult to get the color to be consistent between channels/programs. Almost have to readjust it every time you change channels. DVD picture quality depends on the DVD.
Sound: Good "surround sound" effect. Volume is adequate if you're within 15 feet. Beyond that, it fades. I plan to connect it to external speakers.
DVD Player: Excellent. The several DVD's I have played have played perfectly.
Overall: It meets my needs.
Good for the Money

Reviewer: Kyle H,
Nothing exceptional about this TV but it performs as advertised. Several other reviews mentioned the delay when using the internal tuner and it is a bit frustrating but if you have a STB it won't be apparent. Picture quality is decent but I don't have it connected to a digital source so it's difficult to get a true representation. For the price, I'm very satisifed with the purchase!
