Can you believe 1080p on a 32 inch screen?

This new for 2008 Panasonic Viera 32 inch set is simply the best buy in true HDTV.
For about $875 including shipping and no tax, it offers an outstanding picture,
many inputs and outputs, great over-the-air reception using rabbit ears, and is fully
compatible with our extensive library of 600 videotapes plus 200 standard DVDs.
Cable inputs connect our old VCR and DVD players and this Panasonic does the rest!

We really like the "format" function on the remote, offering zoom, 4:3, full, just, and
H-fill options so you can fill the screen every time. We use zoom and full most often.
This eliminates the black bands on widescreen movies and our old videotapes lose their
obsolete shape and fill the screen.

The set has an SD card slot so you can watch slide shows on this TV. While we do not
play video games, the set has two HDMI inputs plus one for PC. Only one complaint:
we need to turn the volume up to 85 out of 100 to hear the speakers clearly. I wear
my Sennheiser TR120 wireless earphones to increase the volume for 74-year-old ears.

Fantastic TV Superb picture on Comcast Cable. Viewable from anywhere in room, even floor below TV.
Have 4 HD TV's in home, Sony, JVC, Samsung, and Panasonic. This one is the best! 2nd place, Sony. My next big screen will be a Panasonic

This is looks and performs just terrific. A fine choice as with most other Panasonic products. Haven't been disappointed yet. Go for it.
Best TV I have seen.

This picture is terrific from any angle in the room. Setup was simple. I researched many sets as well as Consumer Reports and this is tops.
Incredible!

A fantastic set that I can only wish was a bit smaller and lighter. The 32" was bought for a road presentation kit and is the smallest we could find with PC, TV and the SD slide connections. Panasonic could make a nice niche market with a smaller version, but I understand people at home want to cover their walls more than carry a plasma in a case. With Pelican case the kit is just under 70 pounds (airline max) and we'll likely us it in the office for scrolling information media when not on travel. One thought for later readers, if the Chinese can roll out a field sized LCD for the Olympics, I'd expect to see an LCD screen I can roll up like a poster in a couple of years. The SD is a great idea the other manufactures should also look at. I'm very impressed with the product line and for my own home would definately like to see the 42" or 50" version with all the connections this one has.

Excellent product. I selected this particular set because it is very highly rated in a leading consumers' magazine. I was especially interested in the ability to view the picture from an oblique angle and it has lived up my expectations. Beautiful picture, sharp, crisp with great color. My only complaint is that the remote seems not to work unless you are almost in front of the set, not off to one side. Highly recommended and would purchase it again.

This TV is great. It worked right out the box and was very intuitive to operate without even reading the instructions. The picture is great and lives up the Panasonic quality I would expect.
Great value for the price

I ordered this TV based upon an excellent review in Consumer Reports. The price from 6AVE was excellent.

I upgraded my cable TV service to HD and got a DVR at the same time. I have to say I was truly astounded at the quality of the picture on this TV - excellent quality, even when viewing the screen from off-center. The colors were rich and the details crisp.

I also enjoyed viewing the hi-res pictures on my SD memory card which the TV handles, although I wish there were a few more seconds of viewing time per slide in slide show mode.

I was able to connenct my laptop to the TV's PC connector, and while the resultant picture was excellent, I was only able to achieve 1024x768 resolution (higher resolutions resulted in overscan). I was hoping to get up to the full 1920x1080 resolution to show my pictures in really hi-res.

In summary, an excellent HDTV, and I highly recommend it!
Amazing TV!

Wow this TV is great! The picture quality everything is top notch. The only con for me is the motion blur there's no 120 hz so if motion bothers you you might want to consider getting one with 120 hz but if it doesn't get this TV right now! Wow its amazing! Great for gamers because there's basically 0 input lag so as soon as you press the button it appears on the screen instantly! I recommend this TV for anyone that doesn't care about motion blur but to me a little blur in fast motion isn't a big deal you only notice it if you pay attention.
excellent hd television

This is our first HD televison and we are very pleased. The picture is excellent- from non HD stations as well as HD stations. The sound is also excellent- without the use of any add on speakers. We chose this specific brand based on the recommendation from Consumer Reports and it was the best advice we have had. It was literally a plug in and play- we plugged it in, attached it to our satellite dish and we had the best television viewing ever- from any angle in our family room. I highly recommend the Panasonic Viera TC -32LZ 800 32 inch LCD HDTV. And the price was outstanding.

This television delivers where it really counts: picture quality. Color accuracy is as close to perfect as can be straight out of the box. Tones are not oversaturated like many LCDs and contrast is good. The A-IPS panel makes this set have the best viewing angles of any LCD on the market with absolutely no color shift and extremely minimal brightness disparity even at the most extreme angles. The black levels are great, but some of the competing sets with VA panels are better in this regard. The only real fault with this unit is the remote, and not the remote itself, but the receiver in the TV. You have to be pointing the remote directly at the IR receiver for it to function properly. Otherwise, this TV is fantastic for use as an HD media center and a computer monitor. I shopped extensively before deciding, and it came down to this and the Samsung LNA650. Both sets are superlative, but the Panasonic is just that much better.

No expert here, but we like this TV set. No problem viewing from the side. The controller works well, and works on our VCR and DVD player too, although they're different brands. Somewhere in the years since we bought a TV set, things have improved a lot.

Our TV is opposite a picture window, which is still a problem, but much less of a problem with this LCD model than with our old, fat TV.

If we were in the habit of buying new electronics every couple of years, I might not have wanted to spend so much (totaled about $880), but since I know it's going to be a loooong time before we replace it, I wanted to get something I could live with for a decade or two.
